Sometimes life gets out of control – you are juggling a million things at the same time while trying to keep your head above water and make it seem like you have everything together. In the midst of the chaos, it’s easy to lose your sense of self and forget who you truly are.
I used to let my stress-induced thoughts take control of me – to where I felt like I should only be working and never make time for myself – that I lost who I was.
But journaling helped me break out of that rut. My thoughts and feelings flow through the ink-filled pages. In the process I not only take control of my emotions, but I discover a lot about myself.
Now before we get into it, I wanted to let you know that I created a 7-day free course that goes along perfectly with this challenge!

Journaling has helped me work through a lot of tough times in my life and it continues to help me grow into a better version of myself.

32. Write down the type of person you wish you could be. Create an avatar. What’s their personality? Where do they work and live? How do they react to difficult situations? Think about ways you can bridge the gap between who you are now and the avatar you created.
33. If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?
34. Write down 5 positive affirmations about yourself. Repeat them daily.
35. What’s your favorite memory?
36. How did your darkest moments shape you into who you are today?
37. If you could live in any other time period what would it be? And what would you be doing?
38. When do you feel the most at peace?
39. Set a 2 minute timer and write down whatever comes to your mind.
40. What can you do today to move you closer to your goals?
41. What type of person do you want to be known as?

43. What’s one toxic thing (or person) in your life you need to let go of?

45. Draw a picture in your journal of something that makes you happy.

Once you finish the challenge, go back and reread what you wrote. Some answers may surprise you! When looking over your answers, there are a few things you might notice 1) your thought patterns back then vs now 2) what you truly want out of life 3) where your life is currently 4) what brings you true happiness – and most importantly – 5) What you can do today to get you closer to the life you’ve always wanted.
With the new year here, it’s the perfect time to embrace change, try new things and live a life you love!
